About Me
I am growing a garden revolution by teaching people how to nurture their soil, bodies, and soul.
I am a certified permaculture designer and teacher, and a mentor with the Permaculture Women's Guild. I hold a B.S. in Environmental Science and a M.S. in Regenerative Entrepreneurship from Gaia University.
I am a co-author of the best-selling book, Awakening: Meet the Women Birthing a New Earth.
I've been featured on several podcasts including The Gathering MVMT, The Urban Farm, and Sound Collections.
A lifelong gardener, I have worked on organic farms in upstate New York, developed a children’s gardening program in Austin, Texas, with the Sustainable Food Center, and volunteered with Permaculture projects around the world.
I am the founder and organizer of the Homer Seed Library, a community project to promote gardening and seed saving.
I have been teaching gardening in Alaska and beyond since 2008, helping hundreds of people grow more food.
I mentor other people who want to start their own business teaching gardening or other regenerative businesses.
I am also a full-time single homeschooling mama to two adventurous boys who help me grow, forage, and process a significant portion of our own food. We have 6 chickens and 2 adorable kittens.
I once went an entire year eating only Alaskan food, much of which I grew myself.
